Lancora Capital

Client — Lancora Capital · Sector — Family office · Scope — Positioning, website · Status — 2026

The Brand Bureau developed the positioning and website for Lancora Capital, a family office. The brief was governed by a constraint most businesses do not have: the site had to establish discretion, permanence and competence without describing what is under management or who the clients are.

Why a family office is a different problem

Most websites are built to generate enquiries from strangers. A family office is introduced, not discovered. By the time someone visits the site, they have usually already heard the name from a lawyer, an accountant or another family — and they are visiting to check that what they were told holds up.

That inverts the design brief. Persuasion reads as desperation. What the visitor is looking for is evidence of judgement, longevity and restraint, and almost all of that is carried by tone, structure and what is left out.

What was done

  • Positioning and messaging framework, written for an audience arriving on referral rather than through search

  • Information architecture built around reassurance: what the office does, how it is structured, how it thinks — in that order

  • Website design and build, with the restraint the category requires and none of the growth-marketing furniture

  • Real-estate holdings linked through to the wider portfolio rather than duplicated, keeping each entity in its own place
